Book Signing a Success

Today was the big event, at least for me. I attended my first book signing at the local library in Lake City, FL. I got a chance to meet fellow authors as well as discuss my work and what I have coming up next. It was great to see support from friends and family and I look forward to having more. My First Book Signing

Well, it has been a while since my last post, but I have been busy finishing up new books and trying to decide which one to publish next. I have a lot of irons in the fire with the book promotion of "Think Before You React." I will be having my first book signing at the Columbia County Library October 27,2012 from 2-4 please come out!!!! I have been selling books out of the trunk of my car and however else just to get the word out there. I also had a write up in the local newspaper, which was an experience in itself. Apparently, the local editor of the paper is still in the negative frame of mind when it comes to self publishing. So that was really a struggle but I made it happen. I am working on who and how to go about publishing my next book. I am up in the air about things because my first experience was a huge eye opener. I know a lot more now going into this so I am really checking the fine print. I have had some contact with other companies with what looks to be great ideas on the top but it's the middle and end that concern me. Anyway, faithful friends and family are keeping my going and of course my faith in the mighty man above. Stay tuned to see where this road takes me.

Ok so now that I am published and doing my own "word of mouth" campaign. I will be offering sample chapters to the public for feedback and hopefully to generate interest. All feedback and comments can be made to my assistant lachelle redd on twitter. Please be honest and help me get the word out.

I AM PUBLISHED AND MOVING ON!!!!

I know that it has been a while.  I have been promoting my book via word of mouth through friends and family.  I have also been mailing flyers and making contacts through email.  Now on to the other business.

Yes, I have been adding to my library of novels.  Deon's story must be told and so thanks to the backlash from "Think Before You React," I have started to tell his side and he lived it.  Look out cause Deon is coming strong.  I have also been working on "Spoiled."  This urban masterpiece involves a young woman who is just as the titled suggests "spoiled" but she is soon to learn that life is not a free ride and when your free ride is up, the bills come a callin.'

Thank you to my followers, fans, friends and family.  Your support keeps me strong and keeps me going.

Slowly But Surely

Hello, well it has been a while, but the reports on my book selling overseas have come in  and I am very excited.  I am still working hard trying to get my name and my work out there.  It is slow going, but I will succeed.  I have contacted a few local bookstores and newspapers.  Right now I haven't heard much back, but keep your eyes and ears open. 

And for those of you who have jumped on this wild ride and supported me through purchasing my book or just giving me words of encouragement I thank you.  You are the reason I go on.

Right now I am working on getting myself out there and trying to get on with book stores and Amazon so that my book will be more available.  Please hang in there with me.  I am sure this is gonna be a learning experience and a bumpy road.

In Print

Well my book is in print and has been so for week.  Still no due date on when it hits the stores, but I do have a summary for the back cover and if I do say so myself, it will draw you in and leave you wanting more.

well it is getting closer and closer and today I received the cover and it is awesome.  I will be attempting to post it here so u can enjoy it with me.  Remember June is the big month and as soon as I know the exact day so will you.

Three Books and Counting

Ok "Think Before You React will be in stores this June.  I have already completed my second book and it is just as juicy as the first.  My characters in my books are strong women facing even stronger dillemas.  What makes it interesting are the paths they choose when facing their demons.  There will be those who succeed and those who don't.  There will be those characters who are drawn to the drama and are consumed by their ill fate.

In keeping a real element to the stories, the trials they face are very real.  You may even see someone you know in my storytelling.  That friend that constantly has the man problems and the man is the problem, you know the one, or that friend that is secretly your worst enemy, you'll see that one too.  So be prepared to laugh, cry, be highly upset and even rejoice as I take you on a journey into pure urban drama.

Think Before You React

Well, it has been a journey filled with peaks and valleys.  But ladies and gentleman, Think Before You React, will be in stores in June.  I have received my final print from the publisher and I am ecstatic.  Seeing my story in print with the ISBN and the publisher's name and information acknowledging that this is my accomplishment was so thrilling that I was in tears. 

Now comes the harder part.  It is somewhat up to me to get the word out and get people on board with the stories I am telling.  Hence, I now have a blog.  Join me on this journey.  I am sure there will be ups and downs, but with the help of my true friends and fans, that I hope to attract, I am sure that I will make this a successful journey and new life's venture.
